Overview
Goals: During this 4 day course, attendees will learn how to integrate high-quality tools and visualisations into Galaxy using best practice guidelines and finally how to deploy them. The last day will be spent to learn how to configure a production ready Galaxy server. Moreover, at the end of this course you will have a profound knowledge about Docker and Conda.
Target audience: Developers, Computing scientists and Bioinformaticians
Date: Monday January 16th 2017 to Thursday January 19th 2017
Cost: Travel expenses and lodging need to be covered by each participant individually. ELIXIR-EXCELERATE and IFB (French Node) will cover the meeting costs.
Location and accomodation :
The workshop will be hosted in the 7Hotels at Illkirch near Strasbourg in France.
The registration includes the lunches during the 4 days and one working dinner that will be located in Strasbourg city center.
Don't forget to organize your accomodation!. Bed and breakfast type of accommodation has been pre-booked with the 7Hotels. Follow this procedure to book your room.

Prerequisites : Knowledge in a scripting language (bash, python, …) and technical linux knowledge.
